Have you ever heard of Barbara Sher? She has founded a program and written a book on effective strategies for making real change in your life As you know I have a weakness for books, especially ebooks that help people reach their personal and professional goals in life. I am a big fan of 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill, which is, imho, the best success-book ever written. Today, I heard a radio show about dreams and wishes and learned about Barbara Sher and her Wishcraft program (no misspelling of witchcraft / has got nothing to do with the movie "Wishcraft"). Wishcraft is all about discovering your skills and strengths, turning fears and negative feelings into positive tools and attaining your dreams and heart's desires. Barbara has written a book about Wishcraft, which you can download or read online here: http://wishcraft.com/

The 10th Step toward Riches from Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich" explained
Napoleon Hill is known for his capability to share his knowledge and ideas in plain language and clear words. But you should read Keeks Cunninghams's article anyway In his book 'Think and Grow Rich', Napoleon Hill has described thirteen Steps toward Riches. The tenth step is entitled The Mystery of Sex: Transmutation. Napoleon Hill writes in Think and Grow Rich: “Sex transmutation is simple and easily explained. It means the switching of the mind from thoughts of physical expression, to thoughts of some other nature.” What exactly that means and how you can use this principle for your own success is described in Keeks Cunningham's eyeopening article here: http://www.empowerplanning.com/wealth-creation-3/

The Napoleon Hill Foundation, Sterling Publishing and 'Think and Grow Rich'
Impressing how the numbers grew? Napoleon Hill's 'Think and Grow Rich' has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide and the next 'Think and Grow Rich' has been published, yet I really do not know who to believe when it comes to sales numbers of 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill. Some sources say 'Think and Grow Rich' has sold 30 million copies. On their website, the Napoleon Hill Foundation claims that 60 million copies of 'Think and Grow Rich' have been sold. In a press release of the Napoleon Hill Foundation and Sterling Publishing, where they announce "the next 'Think and Grow Rich'", the number of 100 million copies sold worldwide is being mentioned. How many copies of Napoleon Hill's 'Think and Grow Rich' may have ever been sold - fact is that this book is the #1 business and success-book ever. It is the prototype and benchmark for every success-book released after it. Now a special successor of 'Think and Grow Rich' has been published:
'Three Feet from Gold' by bestselling authors Sharon Lechter and Greg S. Reid is supposed to be a birthday present. About 100 years ago, by the year 1908, Napoleon Hill had started his mission to write the first practical philosophy of personal success. The result was 'The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons', published in 1928 and 'Think and Grow Rich', published in 1937. Sterling Publishing write about 'Three Feet from Gold': "Three Feet from Gold offers an invaluable equation for success based on advice from top entrepreneurs; wise and effective principles of self-motivation, leadership, service, and achievement; and a practical workbook for finding your own personal path to achievement." What is Behind Positive Thinking Like in "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill?
Will the confidence you have in yourself have a significant impact on your future success like claimed in Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich"? In his article "Being is Believing", Morris Mann answers this question. He tells the story of psychologist Albert Bandura, who tried to examine this phenomenon and came up with the theory of "selfefficacy". He also tells the story of Roger Bannister, the first man to run the mile in less than four minutes. Roger Bannister did not believe in the four-minute barrier and he was convinced that he could break it. Read the interesting article here: http://www.jpost.com/Magazine/Lifestyle/Article.aspx?id=193997 Napoleon Hill also endorsed the power of thoughts. The Very Beginning - The first sentences of "The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons" by Napoleon Hill
"The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons" by Napoleon Hill is the first practical philosophy of success In 1908, Andrew Carnegie, steel-billionaire and philanthropist, commissioned young reporter Napoleon Hill with writing a philosophy of personal success. Napoleon Hill worked 20 years on that task. He interviewed more than 500 wealthy men and women to extract the eternal laws of success that Andrew Carnegie postulated. By 1928, Napoleon Hill eventually published "The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons", the book that turned out to be predecessor to Napoleon Hill's biggest success ever: "Think and Grow Rich". The following words are the first sentences in Napoleon Hill's "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons". They mark the beginning of a success-story of its own and the accomplishment of a task that took 20 years to accomplish:

How did the title page of Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich" look in 1938?
The picture is a facsimile of the first title page of "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. The book was first published in March 1937. 5000 copies were printed then. I have not yet found an original title page from 1937 but it may have looked just alike. And that's what it says: THINK andGROW RICH Teaching, for the first time, the famous

Napoleon Hill on Emotions in "Think and Grow Rich"
The 11th Step toward Riches in Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" is The Subconscious Mind: The Connecting Link Emotions can have a big impact on our thoughts. Thus, it is a good idea to spend some time on the exploration of our emotions. To give you a quick guideline, I will cite some lines from "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. This is a brief excerpt from the chapter The Subconscious Mind: The Connecting Link. Napoleon Hill lists The Seven Major Positive Emotions and The Seven Major Negative Emotions. Napoleon Hill writes: >> Let us, therefore describe here the seven major positive emotions, and the seven major negative emotions, so that you may draw upon the positives, and avoid the negatives, when giving instructions to your subconscious mind. THE SEVEN MAJOR POSITIVE EMOTIONS The emotion of DESIRE
The emotion of FAITH
The emotion of LOVE
The emotion of SEX
The emotion of ENTHUSIASM
The emotion of ROMANCE
The emotion of HOPE There are other positive emotions, but these are the seven most powerful, and the ones most commonly used in creative effort. Master these seven emotions (they can be mastered only by USE), and the other positive emotions will be at your command when you need them. Remember, in this connection, that you are studying a book which is intended to help you develop a “money consciousness” by filling your mind with positive emotions. One does not become money conscious by filling one’s mind with negative emotions. THE SEVEN MAJOR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS
(To be avoided) The emotion of FEAR
The emotion of JEALOUSY
The emotion of HATRED
The emotion of REVENGE
The emotion of GREED
The emotion of SUPERSTITION
The emotion of ANGER Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. One or
the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions constitute the dominating influence of your mind. Here the law of HABIT
will come to your aid. Form the habit of applying and using the positive emotions! Eventually, they will
dominate your mind so completely, that the negatives cannot enter it.<< If you would like to read the entire chapter or the entire book, you can get your free ebook copy of "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill here.

"A Year Of Growing Rich" - is this a book by Napoleon Hill?
It is called: "Napoleon Hill's A Year of Growing Rich - 52 Steps to Achieving Life's Rewards - Foreword by W. Clement Stone Wow!, was my first thought. Great, an unknown book by Napoleon Hill. I had always the notion that Napoleon Hill had authored or co-authored 12 books. Should this be #13? A quick research showed: This book was first published in 1993, 23 years after Napoleon Hill had passed away. Some further research revealed that the book's content is based on Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich". So, let's call it a very late posthumously published book by Napoleon Hill. While I searched for more information about "A Year of Growing Rich", I found this great book summary which gives a perfect example of Napoleon Hill's thinking and writing. Can You Think Yourself Rich? 5 steps to attracting money into your life
Brief blog post by Marianne Curphey about 5 steps to attracting money into your life, two new books and the most famous book on the topic: "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill
Marianne Curphey's blog post is short, yet it provides very useful information about the habit of thinking in order to get rich. She refers to Napoleon Hill and his book "Think and Grow Rich" before she cites Marie Claire Carlyle's 5 point plan for attracting money. These 5 points are sound and they are reason enough to mention Marianne Curphey's post here. The only thing left to do yourself, is to apply them to your mindset of money and getting rich. Read Marianne Curphey's article and her 5 point plan here http://www.money-marketuk.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1038:can-you-think-yourself-rich&catid=72:consumer&Itemid=320 Another good read, of course, is the free ebook "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill.

The Most Simple Time Management Method in the World
Why the word of mouth sometimes not only hits the ear but the mind as well It may have been during a conversation of Napoleon Hill with Charles M. Schwab (the steel-magnate who is being extensively mentioned in "Think and Grow Rich" and "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons"), when Charles M. Schwab told Napoleon Hill the story of Ivy Lee and his idea of a time management system. It turned out that Ivy Lee's time management system was both simple and powerful. Charles Schwab was excited enough to reward Lee for this idea with $ 25.000.- ($ 285.750.- in todays buying power). Read the story with a description of Lee's time management system here: http://alltimemanagement.com/time-management/time-management/napoleon-hill-and-ivy-lee-on-effective-time-management-part-1 http://alltimemanagement.com/time-management/time-management/napoleon-hill-and-ivy-lee-on-effective-time-management-part-2 Napoleon Hill writes about Charles M. Schwab in "Think and Grow Rich":

Just a blog snippet on "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and a great essay
The American Dream, the Positive Gospel, Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" and other (entrepreneurial) thinking men The paragraph below is a quote from a commentary by Rich Karlgaard entitled "The Gospel of Hope" on his blog "Digital Rules" on Forbes.com First and foremost his article is about the American Dream and the positive gospel. I really recommend you to read it. His essay is rather short. But Rich Karlgaard takes you on a journey to the origins of the American Dream. Don't miss it: http://www.forbes.com/global/2007/1112/020.html I like what he writes about Napoleon Hill and "Think and Grow Rich": "During the worst year of the Great Depression, 1937, a writer named Napoleon Hill picked the positive gospel out of the gutter and lifted the spirits of the country with his bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Riches, wrote Hill, were available to anyone who changed his attitude. "Thoughts are things," he wrote. States Hill's Wikipedia entry: "Hill was a devout Christian and did not see any conflict between his success philosophy and his religious faith. … Hill stated that the success formula required a complete and total understanding of the spirit of giving. He named this concept 'the Golden Rule.'" Read more about the spirit of giving and 'the Golden Rule' in this free ebook edition of "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill

What Others Say about "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill
Read some impressive statements about the predecessor of Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", made by 3 famous men The first book published by Napoleon Hill was "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons". It was published in 1928 and contained the Philosophy of Personal Success and Achievement, Andrew Carnegie had in mind, when he commissioned Napoleon Hill to write it. Here are some quotes of well known people about "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons": "Allow me to express my appreciation of the compliment you have paid me in sending the original manuscript of the Law of Success. I can see you have spent a great deal of time and thought in its preparation. Your philosophy is sound and you are to be congratulated for sticking to your work over so long a period of years. Your students will be amply rewarded for their labor."
Thomas Alva Edison "Your work and mine are peculiarly akin. I am helping the laws of Nature to create more perfect specimens of vegetation while you are using those same laws through The Law of Success to build more perfect specimens of thinkers."
Luther Burbank

Luther Burbank
"Certainly I will supply you with the information you request. This I consider to be not only a duty, but it is a pleasure as well. You are laboring in behalf of the people who have neither the time nor the inclination to ferret out the causes of failure and success."
Theodore Roosevelt
A shaped and condensed version of "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons" was published 9 years later in 1937 and was entitled "Think and Grow Rich". The Entrepreneur
From Michael Gerber's "E-Myth Revisited" - the book for owners of small businesses This is a brief quote that I found in Michael Gerber's best-selling book "The E-Myth Revisited". It is about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship and I love it. Perhaps you like it, too. "The entrepreneurial personality turns the most trivial condition into an exceptional opportunity. The Entrepreneur is the visionary in us. The dreamer. The energy behind every human activity. The imagination that sparks the fire of the future. The catalyst for change.
The Entrepreneur lives in the future, never in the past, rarely in the present. He's happiest when left free to construct images of "what-if" and "if-when"." Gerber, Michael E. (1995). The E-Myth revisited: why most small businesses don't work and what to do about it (3rd ed.). New York, NY: HarperCollins, p. 23 f. There is left to add, that this entrepreneur is just one of three fractions inside the owner of a small business. The other two guys are the Technician and the Manager - similar to the Walt-Disney-Strategy. Anyway. If you are the owner of a small (or not so small) business, this book might be an interesting read for you. You can get it at Amazon and Barnes & Noble or support your local bookstore and buy it there.
